There is I feel a movement against Stussy, nothing strong, just a mild distaste. I don’t think it’s big or important even, but as it goes I used to flog the brand in a skate shop and always quite like their cut and designs. This is a particular pleasing example with sociological and humanitarian concerns conveniently crumpled into a logo.

I got a thing for these tees from UNIQLO. Just simple and straight-forward, but with a little bit of sass. Don’t mind Shini’s Radcliffe jeans either – on the money for sure.

I liked a lot in the Emilio Pucci show, the above though was stand out. The mix of the textures is striking, with the simple and strong shape of the dress adorned with the lace detailing, creating a smouldering juxtaposition. It’s an outfit for the hard and fine figure, point those hips and shroud those collar bones with all that is good only a tug of a velvet bow away. Plus it’s got pockets, which help to keep you interestingly introverted whenever the need arises.

For SS 2o11 Carhartt has enrolled graffiti artist Grotesk to deal out some designs to adorn their tees. My pick of the bunch is the above, though you can see the full line up over at the Carhartt site and make your selection.

The designs are variations on the classic Carhartt ‘C’ as well as few typography specials, enjoy.

I don’t know what the final decision was, but presumably the evening wouldn’t have been witnessed by all around her in sepia tones and soft focuses, yet I still hope she went for it. There is nothing wrong with a little dressing ‘outside’ the box. True, there would have been self-gratifying remarks suggesting that she’d forgotten to get dressed, or to put her top on, but these would have been from the repressed and the prudish. Besides, a belt here, a sheer tee there and a pair of heavy shoes, would have probably led to nobody thinking twice about the whole ensemble.

This is quite a strange post for me as I loathe comfys and PJs at even appropriate times, yet here I am suggesting underwear as a defence against the evening chill, while out in polite company…

This Lever Couture mobius loop of a frock is like a liquid dream. Admittedly it may look like it was built from surplus paper chains, but it rocks a silhouette that can’t be defined, it is moving and movement in one. Appropriate since it resembles a track from Speed Racer.

Sea of Ghosts is a recent addition into the hallowed STNF reader and with the mix of lush header, self-confessed self-indulgence and luxurious fringe on display in the post Casual Friday I’m quite the fan.

The post is particularly pleasing as it makes a strong case for the beloved biker jacket. I’m looking at mine with adoration right now (I bought it for a snip reconditioned – it even smells of old rockers). It’s a staple people, and it’ll never not be cool for chicks, cats and those as yet undecided.

Nobody is saying it’s not nice, but £385 would keep me in sports betting for about 12 months. I’m not sure if that’s why Lauren has baulked so at the price of this Moschino vest. I hear she likes to have a flutter on ping-pong, sorry, table tennis, and shelling out for this would certainly dent the gambling funds.

All that aside, silk, knotted shoulder and hipster slogan – it’s alright, though I’m fairly confident I could knock this up, even if it would be a little less ‘designer’. And in the MW book this is no bad thing. Mileschino?
